Description

The WegenerNet 3D (WEGN3D) Open Air Laboratory for Climate Change Research extends the climate station network in the WegenerNet Feldbach Region with atmospheric sounding capabilities. It is designed to provide unique insights into the life cycle of precipitation events to increase our understanding of, for example, the formation of hailstorms. All data products generated in the WEGN3D Open Air Laboratory are publicly available under the CC BY 4.0 license.

Level 1b data (L1b) are measurement data resampled and/or aggregated to even time stamps in UTC.

L1b data are grouped by sensor type and given in (local) sensor reference frames. Furthermore, quality flags for each data point are attached as metadata.

Data Availability

WegenerNet 3D Open-Air Laboratory Level 1b data are released under the CC BY 4.0 license. All download options can be found on the 3D Data Download Page.
